The first ACROSS series was introduced in 2006 with a revolutionary cross-insulation "C.I.S." structure that uses an air layer as a damper. Its excellent performance was universally recognized, and as the core cable of Oyaide Electric, it boasted a cumulative total of more than 100,000 meters shipped in the series. However, the production of the first ACROSS series was discontinued in 2013 due to the discontinuation of PCOCC-A conductors. After many difficulties, we created the "102SSC" precision conductor to replace PCOCC-A, and commercialized the new ACROSS series using this conductor. Now, the only speaker cable left in the ACROSS series, "ACROSS 2000", has been upgraded to "ACROSS 3000" with the new precision conductor "102SSC".
ACROSS 3000" introduces the 102SSC precision conductor and Misuzu Electric Wire's patented "3E stranding" technology, and while maintaining the basic structure of the original, including the C.I.S structure and coaxial twin conductors, the conductor cross-sectional area has been upsized (1.5 times) compared to ACROSS 2000. 2.0sq => 30.sq). This has significantly reduced conductor resistance (from 0.84Ω to 0.63Ω/100m). Transmission capability has been further improved. We hope you will enjoy Oyaide's confident product, which has been further refined by the latest technology.

The 3E stranding structure is a concentric stranding arrangement of stranded wires in a lump-sum twisted wire conductor, and by arranging three different strand diameters, the stranding arrangement is made denser. By arranging three different strand diameters, the strand arrangement is made denser, enabling a finer conductor structure and improving conductor characteristics.
The strands of these three different conductor diameters are arranged geometrically to minimize the gaps between strands and improve strand density.
Furthermore, the outer diameter of the strands has been downsized to maintain a stable and highly accurate outer diameter, and the cross section after twisting is a perfect circle, an unprecedented conductor structure in the world. This ensures uniform adhesion between the insulator and conductor, eliminating random thickness of the insulation material and making it uniform.
Oyaide's original cross-shaped insulation structure (C.I.S. Structure) is used as a damper to lower the capacitance and improve the high-frequency characteristics while attenuating vibrations with its excellent stabilizing effect.
The basic architecture adopts a coaxial layout to maximize the C.I.S. Structure, which supports the center conductor at a point rather than a surface to minimize mutual interference between the center conductor and the outside. The internal air damper layout is a completely different idea.
The conventional approach to vibration damping is to use compounds to dampen internally generated vibration. The C.I.I. is a new concept. The C.I.S. structure not only has an excellent stabilizing effect, but also contributes greatly to the improvement of electrical characteristics. The air layer is highly effective in significantly reducing capacitance.
The insulation material that makes up the C.I.S structure is polyolefin, which has an extremely low dielectric constant of 1/4 that of PVC. These unique structures and materials give the ACROSS 3000 an unrivaled agile response and stress-free spatial expression.
The exterior sheath is made of Oyaid Elec, traditional halogen-free sheath exclusively for audio systems, and the Beluga color (caviar black) was selected for its elegant and refined finish. It matches any audio system without any sense of incongruity. ACROSS3000" and "102 SSC" are marked on the sheath.
A total of eight silver/platinum-plated "SPSL" Y-lugs, Oyaide's pride and joy, are attached to both the left and right terminals. The base material is a RoHS compliant Japanese copper alloy that contains no lead or iron. It is machined by NC machining from a 15mm-diameter round bar. The tip insertion part has a two-stage shape of 6mm and 8mm to fit a wide range of speaker terminals. The main body is carefully buffed and polished by hand to a mirror finish. The body is polished to perfection and finished with a two-layer plating of sterling silver and platinum. This original two-layer plating gives the "SPSL" a high quality and elegant atmosphere as well as sound.
The "SPSL" is joined to the cable by a torque-controlled screw connection. In addition, the plug and cable are completely sealed with a tough, gas-barrier heat-shrinkable tubing that is both durable and oxidation-proof for the conductors. The heat-shrinkable tubing is highly transparent, allowing a glimpse of the blue glint of the stainless steel screws that are the design feature of "SPSL" to be seen at the end of the cable.
