The conductor diameter is 2.6mm (≈10AWG) solid core wire, which can be said to be over-spec for in-wall AC power wiring, and the three-core configuration can be used in various situations.
Since 102SSC is used for all three cores, a wide range of needs can be met, from single-layer 100 V to single-phase 200 V and three-phase 200 V, depending on the customer's needs.
The insulation coating is color-coded red/white/black under the JIS standards, as used for 3 core in-wall AC power wiring, so that electricians can wire without any confusion.
The conductor is insulated with polyethylene, which has excellent electrical characteristics. Polyethylene has an extremely low dielectric constant of 1/4 compared to ordinary PVC insulation, reducing transmission loss. This contributes to less muddy reproduced sound.
This excellent insulation property and the relative cross-sectional area of a 2.6mm single wire (equivalent to 5.3sq) provide high-power transmission with a withstand voltage of 600V maximum 30 Amps and an aggressive response.
The EE/F-S 2.6 V2 is equipped with an extremely robust 0.1mm-thick copper foil shield that is truly over-spec.
Thanks to this copper foil, which is wrapped around without gaps and boasts a 100% shielding ratio, "EE/F-S 2.6 V2" exhibits 30dB more noise immunity than ordinary unshielded parallel wires.
A drain wire (30/0.18) of sufficient thickness is placed on the copper foil shield to provide a grounding wire. The copper foil shield can also be easily grounded to earth ground.
In addition, polypropylene tape is used for the internal intervention that fills the gap between the conductor and the copper foil shield, and we have done our best to improve the electrical characteristics and strength of the conductor.
EE/F-S 2.6 was designed on the assumption that it could be used under several circumstances such as in a home, a broadcast station, or a professional studio. Because of its copper foil shielding, it provides clean power without being affected by noise. The copper foil shielding has demonstrated 30dB superiority in noise protection over standard in wall wiring. Moreover, in order to connect easily to a terminal, 0.75sq drain wire is built into EE/F-S 2.6.
Oyaide's halogen-free sheath, which is a characteristic of Oyaide cables in the 21st century, has had a positive impact on the quality of reproduction.
