We enhance our product quality by paying careful attention to each detail of structural characteristic, texture and appearance. When such details are integrated successfully, a product is completed perfectly. All elements, the impression of rigidity, beautiful guilloche pattern on the surface inspired by luxurious Swiss watch, brilliance of the buff finished body, and the blue stainless-steel screws which are reminiscent of clock hands, represent sublime sound image of SRBN. SRBN is the extreme banana plug which is created by the fusion of the excellent sound and design quality.

In order to make style and sound perfect, we at Oyaide consider clear design concept and examination of details and materials very important. The main body is trimmed from an 8 mm phosphor bronze bar and then its insertion part is slit up in a cross shape and divided in quarters to ensure maximum contact area in the terminal. The size was determined based on WBT’s speaker terminals, but it can be fit in any terminals. After more than ten times of repeated cut and try in micron scale, SRBN was exquisitely-designed to be inserted smoothly and not to be come off easily.

The highly-rigid 5mm stainless screw is used for the 4mm cable penetration part. This infills inside space between the body and the screw. The blue screws, made of stainless with quench hardening treatment, are highly-rigid and emphasize the beauty of SRBN. After careful polishing by hand and mirror finishing, the body is completed with silver (inner) and rhodium (outer) plating.

Material / Structure

Smooth and Tight. This is the theme that SRBN aimed to only by characteristic of materials. To hold tightly by using minimum components, SRBN is made by deoxidized phosphor bronze which is used in many contacts due to its excellent springiness and electric property.

When SRBN are planned, we paid most careful attention to the design of its contact tip. It is slit up in a cross shape and divided in quarters to ensure the maximum contact area and is designed to be fit tightly into terminals when it is inserted. The size was determined based on WBT’s speaker terminals (I/D: 4.5mm), but it can be fit in most of speaker terminals. After more than ten times of repeated cut and try, SRBN was exquisitely-designed to be inserted smoothly and not to be come off easily.

The maximum install cable O.D is 4mm (5.5sq).
By employing 5mm dual screw connection system, it infills inside space and holds conductor perfectly. The blue screws, made of stainless with quenching treatment, are highly-rigid and emphasize the beauty of SRBN.

Processing

Design is an extension of function, and its exceptional beauty is inevitable. The design of the SRBN is inspired by the Breguet luxury Swiss watch. The non-slip surface engraved on the body is reminiscent of the guilloche pattern used on watch dials. The screws holding the cables are blued steel hardened into stainless steel using the same technique as used for watch hands. Of course, this technique is not only a decorative approach, but the hardening of the screws improves their mechanical strength and also prevents oxidation.

The "SRBN" is the result of the exceptional precision of the cutting process: an 8 mm phosphor bronze round bar is machined to a high degree of accuracy by a highly programmed CNC machining center. The body is then mechanically barrel polished and buffed one by one by hand. This two-stage polishing process is unique in its application to audio equipment. The mirror-finished body is then directly plated with thick-wall silver, followed by rhodium plating.
