102 SSC - Oyaide Electric Precision Conductor

  • To avoid impurities as much as possible, only virgin copper that does not contain any recycled copper is used in accordance with JIS C1011.
  • Peeling process is applied to remove 100% of impurities attached to the surface.
  • In order to facilitate the flow of electrical signals through the surface layer of the conductor, the strand is made finer using a natural diamond die to improve the surface smoothness of the strand.
  • The stranded wire is processed with a processing accuracy of ±1μm, far exceeding the standard error tolerance of ±8μm.
  • Two annealing processes are used to eliminate mechanical stress distortions in the strands.
  • Thorough product control of manufacturing control values, maintenance, shipping days, etc. Achieved the highest conductivity of 102.3% IACS.

Patented "3E Stranded" Technology for Twisting Three Different Sizes of Wires Together


The 3E stranded structure is a concentric stranding arrangement of stranded wires in a lump-sum twisted wire conductor, and by arranging three different strand diameters, the stranding arrangement is made denser. By arranging three different strand diameters, the strand arrangement is made denser, enabling a finer conductor structure and improving conductor characteristics.

The strands of these three different conductor diameters are arranged geometrically to minimize the gaps between strands and improve strand density.

Furthermore, the outer diameter of the strands has been downsized to maintain a stable and highly accurate outer diameter, and the cross section after twisting is a perfect circle, an unprecedented conductor structure in the world. This ensures uniform adhesion between the insulator and conductor, eliminating random thickness of the insulation material and making it uniform.

Traditional 2 Core Shielded Cable Construction

A traditional design of 2 core shielded type is adopted for not only audiophiles but also for professional audio use.

The two conductors arranged at a uniform pitch are set at 120Ω impedance for analog audio signals.

Shield is also made of 102SSC, a precision conductor, and braided shield is made of 24 pairs of 8 conductors of 0.12mm to achieve a braid ratio of 80%.

Halogen-free PE Outer Jacket for Audio Use

The halogen-free PE (Polyethylene) sheath, which is specially designed for audio and complies with the European RoHS Directive, has extremely high vibration damping properties due to its material composition ratio, enabling clear signal transmission.

Furthermore, it also exhibits excellent potential in electrical characteristics, suppressing the increase in relative permittivity in the low frequency range due to the outer packaging and controlling the increase in attenuation. This allows for the reproduction of a fuller low frequency range.

Foamed polypropylene with low dielectric constant is used as the insulation material. The superior vibration control and electrical characteristics of the sheath and insulation material ensure loss-free music reproduction. The sheath is marked "PA-02 V2" and "102SSC.

RCA Plug with Compact Size Outer Cover

The RCA plugs designed specifically for the PA-02TR V2 are compact in outer diameter and length.

It enables smooth connection even in equipment with narrow spaces between terminals, such as AV amplifiers. The brass, which meets the European RoHS directive, is carefully machined by NC machining and plated with 24K gold plating.

The central contact uses a pipe structure to ensure a large signal transmission area. PTFE with low dielectric constant is used for the internal insulation material to reduce transmission loss. The outer shell is chrome-plated, and the feel of the precisely engraved knurling is reminiscent of a camera lens.

This RCA plug is made entirely in Japan, from material procurement to precision machining. Unwavering confidence in quality. The pride of "Made in Japan" lives on here as well.

Oyaide "SS-47" Solder for Audio Use


Plugs and cables are soldered with "SS-47", a lead-free silver solder specially designed for acoustic use. Ordinary solder has a tin purity of about 99.9% (3N) due to cost considerations." SS-47" is made of high-purity tin that is 99.993% (4N) or higher, eliminating impurities to the utmost limit. In addition, silver and copper are added to improve conductivity and prevent solder from being eaten away.

Furthermore, the ratio of silver in a normal alloy solder is 3 to 3.5%, but in "SS-47" a whopping 4.7% is used without hesitation. In addition, SS-47 contains 1.7% copper, which has the second highest conductivity among metals after silver. This ratio dramatically improves the conductivity, and we succeeded in setting the eutectic point at 217 degrees Celsius. Of course, these blending ratios were not determined by numerical data and workability alone.

We believe that sound quality should be the top priority for a product to be labeled as an audio solder. SS-47" is the result of numerous listening tests of prototype models with various mixing ratios.
