"TUNAMI", a powerful, high-speed and dynamic 5.5sq. power cable of a new generation



The first generation "TUNAMI" cut-out power cable has been absolutely supported by users of the self-production school. The difficulty of the construction became a topic of conversation, and in exchange for the difficulty, many users became repeat customers due to the flood of great sound they received.

Nine years after its release, the original "TUNAMI" has been reborn with Oyaide's precision conductor 102 SSC as "TUNAMI V2".

The basic structure, such as the high power transmission by the thick conductor of 5.5 sq. (≈10AWG) cores and the strict 3-layer sealing, has not changed from the first generation, but the change from PCOCC-A conductor to the Oyaide's own precision conductor "102 SSC" will give you a sense of the new wave of Oyaide Electric.

  • To avoid impurities as much as possible, only virgin copper that does not contain any recycled copper is used in accordance with JIS C1011.
  • Peeling process is applied to remove 100% of impurities attached to the surface.
  • In order to facilitate the flow of electrical signals through the surface layer of the conductor, the strand is made finer using a natural diamond die to improve the surface smoothness of the strand.
  • The stranded wire is processed with a processing accuracy of ±1μm, far exceeding the standard error tolerance of ±8μm.
  • Two annealing processes are used to eliminate mechanical stress distortions in the strands.
  • Thorough product control of manufacturing control values, maintenance, shipping days, etc. Achieved the highest conductivity of 102.3% IACS.

With a wire cross-sectional area of 5.5sq., it is capable of transmitting high power up to 30A at a withstand voltage of 300V.


It provides high power transmission of 600V maximum 30 Amps withstand voltage and aggressive response.

Short-pitch stranded wire twisted at 1.15 times the normal tension eliminates random gaps in the conductor and suppresses sound quality degradation caused by wire-to-wire distortion.

We also paid close attention to the adhesion rate between the insulator and conductor. The insulator and conductor are evenly adhered to each other, eliminating random gaps and degradation of sound quality caused by interline distortion.

Polymer Polyolefin with Excellent Electrical Characteristics for Insulation to Reduce Signal Loss

Polymeric polyolefin with excellent electrical characteristics is used for the insulation coating of the conductor.
Compared to ordinary PVC insulation, it has an extremely low dielectric constant of 1/4, which reduces signal loss and produces a less muddy reproduction sound.

In addition, the use of different polyolefin materials for the exterior and interior prevents resonance from affecting the sound.

Triple Layer Shielding to Shut Out Noise

Triple Layer shielding is employed: 1st layer: electromagnetic wave absorber, 2nd layer: copper foil, and 3rd layer: horizontally wound shield.

In the first layer, electromagnetic waves caused by magnetic flux disturbance are converted into heat energy by electromagnetic wave absorbers mixed in the compound.

The second layer has a copper tape shield to protect the signal from external noise.

The third layer, a horizontally wound shield, is made of 102 SSC, a precision conductor, with 160 0.12mm wires placed without gaps. This shields out not only external noise, but also internally generated noise and spark noise caused by vibration at a high level.
